Everything you need to know: wedding photography at 100 Barrington

Why is 100 Barrington such a popular London wedding venue?

There’s a reason for all the love for 100 Barrington. It’s an absolutely beautiful space for weddings. 100 Barrington is a vast, warehouse size venue full of light for amazing photography. Refurbished in 2020, 100 Barrington is a fabulous venue and one of my personal favourites for wedding photography. It’s one of Rock My Wedding’s 10 most popular wedding venues and one of the best modern venues in London.

Every wedding at 100 Barrington is full of character and guaranteed a fantastic party atmosphere! The outdoor ceremony space is an oasis in the heart of Brixton. You’d never know you’d just stepped off the London streets into lush greenery with festoon lighting and a railway arch as a backdrop. Outside the venue, there’s the famous Barrington rainbow. “You are one talented lady Jordanna. Thank you for being so fab!” ~ Anna & Tom, married at 100 Barrington

“We picked Jordanna because of her natural ability to capture the story of a wedding in her photography style and her vibrant use of colour which mean her shots leap off the page. We didn’t want cookie cutter posed shots, we wanted moments captured, so you could hear the laugh, feel the energy and relive the moments of our day forever.

We are so grateful for Jordanna who captured our day perfectly, and delivered beyond expectations. She was incredible before, on and after our day. She is a true talent but also a sound person to work with, who listens, keeps you up to date so that you feel confident and assured and actually just let go and enjoy your day.

We really couldn’t recommend Jordanna more. We feel extremely lucky that we came across her work and that she was the one who captured our day.

If you want photos with some personality then get in touch with Jordanna!” – Lauren & Chris, married at 100 Barrington

James and Amy’s wedding was beyond fabulous. These two married at Asylum Chapel and celebrated with a wedding dinner and dancing at 100 Barrington. They dressed the venue with incredible foliage arrangements hanging from the walls and ceiling, and partied until the early hours.

Emily and Ross were married at 100 Barrington. The weather was kind, so they (and their blow up dinosaur friend) could say their vows* outside. We had a wander around Brixton, took in the rainbow and some super cute street photos, and headed back to 100 Barrington for a silent disco and crazy dancing – an unforgettable day!

I’m an alternative wedding photographer in London. Your photos will be informal, candid, and joyful – I’ll capture all the candid moments and reactions in all of their authentic glory. ABOUT 100 Barrington – the details

The venue is tucked away underneath two railway lines, a little hidden spot in the heart of Brixton. You get to use three spaces for your wedding through the day: starting with arrival drinks in the courtyard (and your wedding ceremony outside too, weather permitting!) There’s a warehouse-style space for dining with a fairy light canopy and wooden beams overhead. Last but absolutely not least, enjoy drinks and catching up with all of the people who love you, in the stunning brick archway beneath 100 Barrington’s fabulous chandelier!

The beautiful glass pergola extends the bar space out to the courtyard to create one big space, letting all the light in, whilst also providing shelter from the elements. Rain or shine, guests can enjoy drinks amongst the greenery

A short history of Brixton’s favourite wedding venue

Back in the nineteenth century, 100 Barrington used to be a furniture factory. It was built in 1879 and still has the original brickwork, high ceilings and exposed beams from its industrial days. The open floor plan makes it a great wedding space. Prior to a restoration project it was known as Brixton East wedding venue for a little while, and adored by wedding photographers and couples alike. The renovation gave it a luxe modern look, and 100 Barrington as it is now couldn’t be more perfect for 21st century weddings.
