Alternative Wedding Photography – Hannah & Steve
Alternative Wedding Photography Buckinghamshire
After seeing Hannah, Steve and Nelson ‘The Cat’ Mulvey this morning I thought it was about time I pulled my finger out and shared some of my favourite images of their alternative wedding with you all.
This smiley pair got married in Hannah’s local church in Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire surrounded by their friends and family before heading to the wonderfully quirky, slightly bonkers Flaxbourne Gardens in Aspley Guise as their party venue.
Way back when I originally met clearly very loved up Hannah and Steve I knew that their wedding would be an explosion of colour with emphasis on having fun. Although they were having a traditional ceremony they wanted the feel of the day to be laid back and different. It was important to them that the day felt unique which is why they poured so much effort into the stationery, flowers, VW vans, cake and the picnic style lunch and I mustn’t forget to mention the band who were bloody brilliant. Look them up on You Tube they are called Inlak’esh. They played a fusion of acoustic Spanish guitar/rock/blues music (I was never any good at classifying music!) which was so fresh and really got the party started. NB Brides and Grooms to be you really should check them out they’d be an awesome reception act too!
Favourite moments for me were watching Hannah smiling uncontrollably through the ceremony – Steve you’ve got a good un there – the photobombing horses; the scrummy fish and chips with lashing of curry sauce of course; the love story of the page boy and flower girl and the best man who had to refrain himself from punching the air once he had handed over the rings.
Anyway, I’ll leave you to some images from their relaxed, gloriously sunny and colourful day…
Many thanks to Jonny for being my second on the day. You, my friend, are ace.
