Brighton College Wedding

"Jordanna is an incredible photographer and a really genuine and great person. The real draw for us to Jordanna's work is her ability to really capture the mood of an event, without the typical forced wedding-photographer style. A massive thank you to Jordanna, we couldn't have hoped for a better photographer to capture the energy and spirit of our day. You're the best!"

Fabulous Brighton College Wedding for artists

Brighton College Wedding // Ciara and Owen’s Brighton College Wedding was one to remember. It was a red hot day and their outdoor humanist ceremony was a treat which included a sing song too. (You can never go wrong with a sing song in my mind – even if you are tone deaf it’s a bit of fun.)

Being illustrators themselves, there was a strong element of DIY and they created all their own stationery and signage which was fab. The colour palette they designed it around – blue, mint and copper really complimented the venue and flowers they chose too. Not that I am one to get hung up on ‘themes’ in fact the mere word makes me shudder…but being designers they knew what they were doing and it all came together great.

Ciara looked lovely in her Suzanne Neville dress. I especially liked her bridesmaids look in their mismatched cami vests and mint tulle skirts – very summery and cool and suited each and everyone of them. Owen chose a blue suit by Gresham Blake and he looked rather dapper too.

As it was such a hot day we decided to leave the portraits until later – the light was still hard but I like some contrast – once in a while – my favourite portrait being the one where the seagull is perfectly overheard. Luckily he behaved himself and so ‘lucky poo’ here.

Anyway – to save me chatting absolute b*****ks – as per – I’ll leave you to a handful of favourites from their Brighton College Wedding day…

ABOUT ME

Random Ramblings: My dream was always to open a cafe which was part bookshop, part art gallery. Then I realised I liked holidays too much and that if I was to own and run said cafe I’d never be able to do anything but work. I mean I do love my work and whatever I’ve turned my hand to I’ve always been a grafter…but come on…

With two kiddos in tow our holidays aren’t outrageously adventurous atm but just lately we’ve loved discovering (real – no English Breakfasts required) Spain. Seville is a favourite spot and I would give my right arm to shoot a wedding there.

With an Italian Mumma we spent a lot of holidays growing up in Italy which is (probably) the greatest country on Earth – disregarding the crazy bureaucracy and bonkers politics – so I am very late to the Spain party.

Anyhooo, if you’re looking for a wedding photographer I’d love to hear from you so please drop me a line via my contact page.

VOTED NEW YORK RANGEFINDER MAGAZINE RISING STAR OF WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

“We really like Jordanna’s ability to capture genuinely joyous, funny and quirky expressions without them being hokey, staged or cheesy. It’s clear you don’t pose them. You’re able to coax a lot of happiness on your own, or at the very least are trigger-ready with impeccable timing.” Libby Peterson, New York Rangefinder Magazine
