ABOUT ME

Hey! Thanks again for getting in touch. This is just a quick rundown of what I’m about, giving you the opportunity to fall madly in love with my work and book me immediately. Which would be fab.

I love taking photos but more than that, I bloody love people. I’m a friendly sort and I enjoy putting people at ease by offering a laid back and and unobtrusive working style, documenting your day as it naturally unfolds. My documentary style allows you to relax, have fun and enjoy your day to the absolute max.

I’ve been doing this for thirteen years now, and during that time I’ve worked with almost 300 wonderful couples and – I can honestly tell you – I still get excited by the thought of shooting my next wedding.

In fact, I like to approach each wedding as if it was my first. I am all about producing fresh work that’s a true reflection of the unique people in front of me. Trust me to do my thing, and watch me create photographs that’ll make you go, “HOLY SHIT. This girl’s good.”

my style

My approach for most of the day is photojournalistic. For me, shooting weddings is about capturing the spirit of the day: the emotion, the atmosphere and all the personality that oozes from a special occasion like a wedding. I want my images to be honest, to tell a colourful story about you and your day and how amazing it was to actually be there.

Your wedding day is a one-off. You don’t get a second go at it so my advice is always to GO FOR IT. Don’t hold back. I’m not going to ask you to spend all day posing. in fact I won’t ask you to pose at all. All I want you to do is trust me totally, have an awesome time and make some memories.

Firstly, you’re more than welcome to pop by and visit me at home in gorgeous Northamptonshire to have a chat about your day and have a relaxed, informal engagement shoot. It’ll be a chance for us to get to know each other, have some fun and alleviate any nerves about having your photo taken. It’s also an opportunity to create some beautiful imagery for your wall.

These images are then available to purchase from the gallery as digital files, prints, wall art or even as an album. They can also be incorporated into your wedding day, either as a guest book or a guest signing board.

Q: Do we have to book you for our wedding to have an engagement shoot? (I hear you ask)…

A: No, not at all. If you’re just two crazy kids in love and would like some wall-worthy shots of the two of you together then get in touch. 90 min sessions including 50+ digital images are £350 if booked in Northamptonshire, £450 elsewhere.

Couple portrait at Trinity Buoy Wharf Wedding in London. The historic Chain and Buoy Store venue is a Grade II listed brick building on the banks of the river Thames in East London. Built in 1864, and connected to London’s only Lighthouse, The Chain and Buoy Store is a large Victorian warehouse space with brick walls and original wooden beams, feature sliding doors, alcoves and curved windows It consists of two separate but interconnecting venues The Buoy Store’s exposed brick and atmospheric lighting makes for the perfect ceremony space whilst the white brick walls of the Chain Store can be used as stand alone reception and dancing space or a for both the ceremony and reception with the use of dividing drapes The Chain Store is offered with a large riverside terrace from which you can enjoy the views of the River Thames, O 2 Arena, and Docklands skyline.

OPTIONAL EXTRAS

- - Wedding filming from £1350 – typically couples spend £1850
  - Pre-wedding couple shoot complimentary (if in Northamptonshire, elsewhere from £450)
  - Additional experienced photographer £500 for the full day
  - Extra hour of coverage from £225 (on 8hr/ 10hr packages)
  - ‘Queue Jump’ Wedding Images (1 week turnaround time) from £500

ALBUMS & OTHER LOVELY THINGS

Promise me something: print your wedding photos. You don’t have to use me, but please don’t leave them to languish on a USB stick or on your phone. If you DO want to use me, I’d be chuffed. I love designing albums and, if you’ve invested in your wedding photography, then it stands to reason that you’d want to invest in the presentation. I offer a range of stylish albums from matte (old school but beautiful) to gorgeous digitally-printed coffee table-style hardback books. I take tons of pride in the design process and you’ll be left with a beautiful book that tells the story of your day with big, gorgeous photos and lush panoramic spreads.

faq

DO YOU DO FORMAL PHOTOS AND HOW DO YOU APPROACH IT?

Yep! I get the basic family shots in a fun and relaxed way but I recommend these are kept to about 6 -10 groups so that you’re not taken away from your wedding for too long. These are included in the planning document you will be sent nearer the time.

DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS?

Absolutely. I’m very happy to. My work has taken me all over the country as well as Italy, France and Cyprus.

DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?

Of course. I have full liability and indemnity insurance.

CAN WE MEET BEFORE THE WEDDING DAY?

A key ethos of my business is to create a great relationship between us in the lead up to your wedding. It’s so important that on the day you don’t have anything to worry about and that trust in your photographer makes all the difference. You are very welcome to come to my home for a cuppa or lunch and then of course, you have your engagement shoot to think about too.

WE HATE HAVING OUR PHOTOS TAKEN, IS THIS A PROBLEM?

Not at all. In fact, if you LOVED posing in front of the camera, I’d be a bit concerned you weren’t a good match for my approach. My documentary approach is better with no posing and, even when I sneak you off for 20 minutes or so to get some shots of just the two of you, it’s relaxed, unforced, cheese-free and a break from the madness of the day. NOT a photoshoot.

HOW LONG BEFORE WE GET OUR IMAGES?

Between 4 and 6 weeks.
