Gorgeous Combermere Abbey Wedding for Laura & James
Late Summer Combermere Abbey Wedding, Cheshire
Lovebirds Laura and James and their Combermere Abbey Wedding
Combermere Abbey Wedding // I am so excited to share Laura and James’ Combermere Abbey Wedding it really is a beauty!
The couple decided to get married late in the afternoon in a super sweet civil ceremony. James literally looked like the loveheart emoji eyes cat when he saw Laura – it was a really special ceremony to witness.
Later on the couple and their friends and family enjoyed the evening in the most spectacularly decorated marquee I have ever clapped my eyes on – it really was very flamboyant but beautiful. Props go to One Stylish Day for their wedding design skills and the floristry by the very lovely Jen Liberty Lane Flowers.
“Jordanna brought our memories to life! The personalities of the guests in the photos shone through in the most vibrant way and I struggled to find another photographer that could do this like Jordanna did. She is a very sweet person and lovely to work with, very unobtrusive and put us at ease.”
Laura & JamesÂ
Anyway – I will hand you over to Laura to talk about her gorgeous Combermere Abbey Wedding.
Combermere Abbey Wedding Venue
I found our venue in a bridal magazine. We went to visit and we loved it! The grounds were beautiful and the staff were charming so thatâs how we decided on it.
The personalised civil ceremony
The ceremony was the highlight of the day! We asked our two friends to speak at the ceremony and gave them free reign to do whatever they wanted. On the day they surprised us with a poem about our relationship and life together! We were stunned by how brilliant and witty it was! We also invited our mothers to speak as they were the best places to do so – they have 73 years of marriage experience combined!
Wedding Day Style
When I tried on my dress I felt like a queen in my dress subsequent dresses didnât compare so thatâs how I knew I found âthe oneâ. Most importantly I looked and felt like a bride. James bought his suit off the high street. He looked hot so thatâs how he decided. I think so anyway!
I met Jen from Liberty Lane and it felt like we were already friends! She was a bubbly and excited about our project I could not help but bounce off her! Her energy was infectious and her creativity was limitless. I truly trusted Jen to deliver the vision I had for my flowers and she exceeded my expectations.
Music was important to us
Andrea was our pianist for the ceremony and drinks reception. She was very flexible and happy to play pretty much anything we liked! We really wanted First Step by Hans Zimmer, which was the theme to the film Interstellar. She did a brilliant job picking up this song for us. James picked our DJ and he was brilliant! He kept the floor busy all night and was brilliant to work with.
Wedded Wisdom
If you are prepared and organised then there is no need to stress on your wedding day. Try and be present throughout the day, greet as many of your guests as possible who have travelled some way to celebrate your day, and have fun! Strongly recommend hiring a wedding planner or at least a day of coordinator to take that stress of you! And obviously hire Jordanna for your photographer ;-).
Ooo thank you, Laura! I’d love to hear from you if you love my work.Â
