Prince Albert Pub Wedding, Camden – London

A Prince Albert Pub Wedding for Suzi & Benj

Prince Albert Pub Wedding // Got a smashing Prince Albert Pub Wedding on the blog for you today. So another month has flown by – a month jammed pack full of fabulous weddings that I will get round to sharing with you at some point this millenia. I hope you are all well and thanks for stopping by.

Suzi and Benj’s Prince Albert Pub Wedding was laugh filled and extremely sweet. They got married in the springtime last year. I loved the laid back vibe of their day.

Choosing Prince Albert Pub as your Wedding Venue

We wanted to do it in London as it was where we met and where our lives are. And we knew we didn’t want anywhere fancy, just somewhere easy going with great food. We’d eaten a few times at the Prince Albert in Camden and liked the vibe. When we realised that the reason they were often shut on Saturday’s was for weddings, we knew we’d found the place. Then we went to a few local churches in our area before we went to St Mary’s and felt comfortable. The Albert was perfect for us – relaxed, great food and lovely staff. Our band got everyone dancing all night long, which was just what we wanted.

Wedding Day Style

Benj was adamant that he wanted to wear green, and found the perfect suit in Paul Smith. I had no idea what I wanted in a dress and went shopping with my mum and sister in law. Tried on a few, thinking i probably would end up with something flared and 50s style around the shin. how wrong was I?! I ended up with something backless with quite a big train!

Party Time

We had a band called The Cash Cows who are awesome. First saw them a few years ago at Secret Garden Party Festival playing around some hay bales. They played one set for our guest when they arrived at the Albert. Then a longer set again in the evening after dinner.

First dance vibes

Etta James, ‘Somethin’s got a hold on me.’ We’re so into our music and we really struggled with deciding what to go for. We definitely didn’t want it to be a slow one we wanted to dance! in the end we just sort of agreed on one the night before the wedding in the pub before we went our separate ways.

Wedding Wisdom

Enjoy the planning! We did most of it in the pub on the laptop and we both really enjoyed it!
