Bush Hall Wedding

"Oh Jordanna we absolutely love them! You captured the day so well and they really are gorgeous."

Ace Bush Hall Wedding for cool cats Laura and Lewis

Bush Hall Wedding // Laura and Lewis’ Bush Hall wedding was a blast! On a bright autumn day in October, Laura and Lewis tied the knot at Asia House before moving to Bush Hall for their wedding breakfast and party.

Laura had a super cool look in a Charlie Brear dress, electric blue Gina shoes and her grandma’s broches sewn into her short funky hair. I first met Laura at another of my weddings and I always knew she’d make an awesome bride. Her hair was so original and edgy. I loved it.
Laura is a very talented make up artist herself. She works with concept hairdresser Kim Rance who had worked on the Alexander McQueen show (which is where she got the idea for the broches). You should check Kim out on insta some of her work is insane! @kim_rance
Groom Lewis had a cool mod look in a burgundy suit. The Edwardian venue couldn’t have suited these two better. They decorated the tables quite simply with red roses and pics of their fave musicians and broken LPs. The venue was dotted with punk style posters of them and their wedding. The whole day had quite a gritty London feel to it but these two don’t take themselves seriously and the day was laid back and fun.

Love these two, loved their day. Check it out…

ABOUT BUSH HALL

Originally built by a publisher in 1904, Bush Hall is one of a trio of London dancehalls he built for each of his daughters. Bush Hall is the only surviving of the three. The building has enjoyed past lives as a soup kitchen in WWII as well as a bingo hall. A rehearsal space for the likes of The Who, Adam Faith and Cliff Richard in the late ’50s/60s. Finally a snooker & social club in the ’80s/90s, before being restored to its former musical glory in 2001.

Bush Hall is a cool venue for your London Wedding and shouldn’t be overlooked if you are still looking for a venue. From a photography point of view it ticks a lot of boxes and I found it to be a really fun environment to shoot in.

ABOUT ME

Random fact: I have never watched an episode of Friends. It’s not that I am anti it – it just kinda passed me by.

I photographed my first ever wedding in 2007 and have now shot almost 200 weddings.
