Couples who’ll love this wedding venue

Hackney Town Hall is perfect for… all couples. The space is incredible, there’s loads of light and fabulous options for ceremony spaces. If you’re inviting 250 guests to your ceremony, the assembly rooms will fit everyone in, with space for 500 standing at your evening reception.  All of the wedding spaces at Hackney Town Hall are elegantly styled with minimal decor, so they’re yours to decorate and bring to life if you have your reception here! Oh, and a quick nod to art deco lovers – this is an especially tempting wedding venue for you. The sleek architecture, arched panelled windows and curving staircases are divine.

As a wedding photographer, I adore Hackney Town Hall

It’s always the light. From the windows in the assembly rooms, to the glass overhead in the atria, this is a dream wedding venue for natural light. My background is in art, so the beautiful design features of Hackney Town Hall make an incredible backdrop for really stunning wedding images. The wow factor is off the scale with elegant swooshing banisters, lush lighting and art deco features, to the light and contrast of the ceremony rooms.

What ‘they’ say about Hackney Town Hall weddings

Hackney Town Hall belongs to a collection of the most iconic venues spaces in East London, alongside Clissold House, Abney Park Chapel and The Glass House in Springfield Park. Of those venues, Hackney Town Hall’s the one oozing with vintage glamour and “sumptuous art deco grandeur”. You can tell your guests it’s one of London’s finest examples of civic art deco architecture. It really is a beauty – if you haven’t seen inside, check out the virtual tour on the Hackney Venues website.

Real weddings at Hackney Town Hall

Laura & Neil’s Hackney wedding was epic. These two did everything their way, from their stunning outfits to Laura’s fabulous bouquet of anthuriums and roses in shades of red and pink. If there’s one thing weddings should be, it’s personal – and this brilliant couple squeezed in as much personality as you could ever imagine. Their day was authentically them and off the scale for style and celebration! They followed their ceremony with an intimate meal at Campania, and a low key evening get together at Shoreditch’s Passione.
