Marylebone Town Hall is perfect for your wedding if…
… you’re looking for a place with a bit of history to make it official, and celebrating elsewhere
… Central London and the busyness of the city is your vibe
… you can joyously embrace a venue where other weddings are taking place, all at the same time
Why I love a Marylebone Town Hall wedding
There is so much going on here, and it’s such an iconic venue, right in the heart of Westminster. The hustle and bustle – both outside and in – just adds to the atmosphere! As a documentary wedding photographer I love to capture the excitement in the moments before your ceremony, as you and your guests head into the venue. There are ushers to show everyone where to go, and it’s always super efficient here – even with 7 ceremony rooms! Once you and your guests are all tucked safely inside your ceremony room, it’s ALL about you. As the busyness and crowds fade into the background, you can enjoy having all of your favourite people together as you say your I do’s. Then as you leave Marylebone Town Hall to head to your reception, walking on air through lashings of biodegradable confetti and laughter, the joy is palpable. You know that saying, that your wedding all rushes by in a whirlwind? They could have invented that here, and if you embrace it, Marylebone Town Hall weddings are fabulous.

The vibe: what’s it like getting married at Marylebone Town Hall?
Your wedding ceremony is all about you. Your outfits, your personalities and your guests will bring any of the ceremony rooms at Marylebone Town Hall to life! The rooms are all styled differently – the entire building was refurbished and reopened in 2018. Some spaces are modern and others charmingly old fashioned (with wonderful, town hall gravitas in spades!) You can’t add styling touches to the rooms, but you can be the life and soul of your day! Whichever space you choose, saying your vows is the beginning of an epic day: there’ll be nerves and excitement and love and laughter and that feeling of bursting with happiness – and that all kind of takes over from the space itself. You’ll walk in a little nervous and leave feeling on top of the world, surrounded by everyone you love. That’s what it’s like getting married here!

It’s fronted by an outstanding team of ushers who help your moment to run without a hitch – the perfect ceremony before you move on to your reception.

Why choose me as your Marylebone Town Hall wedding photographer
I’m a London wedding photographer specialising in candid, characterful images. I love unique weddings and couples who think outside the box. Saying your vows at Marylebone Town Hall is all about the emotion of the moment, the crazy whirlwind of feelings and the buzz of saying I do. This venue isn’t about opulent florals or room styling or decor, and neither am I. I’m there to capture your love and happiness over and above anything else!
Don’t get me wrong: my background’s in art and I LOVE colour and creativity, but for this part of your day where it’s all about the emotion as you say your vows, that’s where my focus will always be!
Where to have wedding photos taken around Marylebone Town Hall
The venue management make it clear to couples that you’ll have limited time on the steps outside for confetti photos. They’re not wrong: there’s often another wedding party on their way in or out (or both!) at the same time! We’ll grab some gorgeous photos at the venue of course – if you fancy taking a quiet moment for just the two of you after your ceremony to share that ‘we DID it’ moment, the alcoves and pillars offer a fabulous little hideaway for a few photos of the two of you. Then I’ll be there on the steps with you to capture all of the squeezy hugs and congratulations as you and your guests get ready to celebrate!
I’d love to know your plans for your wedding day. If you’re walking to your reception venue, then we’ll get some amazing photos on the London streets as you make your way through the city. Photo moments can be spontaneous too: a shop window with a burst of colour, a cute and quirky cafe or a vibrant graffiti wall can all make for unique and creative wedding images!
