Hestercombe Gardens Wedding

"Jordanna was great fun to work with and immediately put us at ease in front of the camera. We are blown away with how great our photos are, she really captured the atmosphere of the day!"

Sophia & Khuram Super Colourful Wedding Photography at Hestercombe Gardens

Hestercombe Gardens Wedding // Today we’ve got Sophia and Khuram’s Hestercombe Gardens Wedding to swoon over. If you are planning a DIY wedding or simply a fellow colour lover then you are going to love this one.

Despite all the gorgeous details what made this wedding top shelf (not that kind *filth*) was the energy that Sophia and Khuram bought to their day. There are very few images without huge smiles and hands in the air. I spent the whole day smiling like a goon and had cheek ache by the end of it!

That energy came in handy when we had to trek 20 minutes up hill to their wedding ceremony! The ceremony was held in a small temple in the incredible, historical gardens of Hestercombe. Fortunately it was a gorgeous spot and the couple had told the guests about bringing sensible footwear so I didn’t hear one moan about the rather warm trek up.

The Ceremony within Hestercombe Gardens

The ceremony was sweet and laugh filled and ended with a surprise Mariachi Band appearing from the bushes to entertain the guests as the couple signed the register. The couple didn’t stop beaming all he way through. The sun was beating down but that didn’t stop the guests having a boogie either.

Anyone for Rounders?

I’ve had many couples in the past claim that they will play rounders either on the morning of the wedding or during the reception. It’s something many of my couples have fantasised about – it’s like a symbol of how chilled my couples are. Anyway until now it has never once happened! Anyway, I am sure Sophia and Khuram would tell you to go for it. The guests loved it and it filled a good hour whilst the Marachi Band still serenaded from the sidelines like cheerleaders.

And other than rounders they did all the usual things we do at weddings – throw confetti, laugh with our mates, listen to funny speeches, host a hilarious Mr & Mrs quiz (many of the shockingly gross answers I will never be able to unlearn – readers I will spare you the details!), eat fabulous food and dance the night away. It was a great day; I am so pleased to have met Sophia and Khuram. I will remember their day so fondly for many years to come.
